Filmed in the Catlins at the bottom of the South Island, Human Traces tells a complex story on a big canvas. Soon after the arrival of a mysterious young man, contact with the outside world is cut off for a husband and wife trying to return a remote Subantarctic island, 1000 kilometres from human life, to its natural state. Starring Sophie Henderson (Fantail, Outrageous Fortune), Mark Mitchinson (The Hobbit, Filthy Rich) and Vinnie Bennett (Ghost in the Shell, Filthy Rich).
