The prize

Based on a true story, Maudie is a beautiful and absorbing portrait of reclusive Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, following her life, the success story of her art, and her life with husband Everett Lewis in a small village in Nova Scotia. Award-worthy performances by Oscar-nominated actors Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawke bring Maud and Everett to life in this intimate and endearing film about her surprising rise to fame.

The Listener screening of Maudie will be held in the following cities on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
